Podcasts are an innovative way to get messages out into the world, and before the advent of social media we had to rely on print media (newspapers, books) and television to do that. Like many important innovations using a podcast to reach your audience can be as significant as the idea itself, and enables individuals and communities to capitalise vicariously on the lived experience and lessons learned.
Well, that was the intention with this for sure. I had the pleasure of talking about NPD (new product development) as well as innovation and sustainability in the food industry, with Natalie Turner the inventor of The 6 I’s model of innovation. In this conversation we explored the model and the way it empowers team members, the importance of influencing stakeholders, and how the model can fit perfectly with another important tool for the UK food industry – Stage Gate.
